In our test of how it cleaned baking soda near corners and on baseboards The Scout RX3 was impressive. Its suction of 2,500Pa was weaker than other robots but it was quiet and swift in its movements. It didn't mop and its cleaning pad that was removable was a challenge to attach. It also was unable to handle dirt that was dried on.
The app is basic with no advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It is compatible with Alexa but its voice controls aren't precise or responsive. It's also a bit flaky when it returns to the charging station after an exercise. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow the previous route however, the RX3 is a mess until it finally gives up.
We also encountered issues with the intelligent features of the device, namely its mapping feature as well as digital stay-out zones. It was great at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away, but it was easily caught on cables, socks, and rugs.
